Privacy policy

The short version: Show Them Once does not want your personal data and does not collect it. The detail follows.
What I collect
Show Them Once has no accounts, no sign-up and no newsletter. I do not ask for your name, email address or anything else that identifies you.
If you email me, I hold that email in order to reply to it. Nothing else is done with it. Please do not send photographs of children or a child’s name; I do not need either.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4, loaded through a Google Tag Manager container, to count page views and see which pages are read. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before I receive any data. I do not receive or store anything that identifies an individual visitor.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default, so no measurement cookie is set and those visits are counted without one. Elsewhere, analytics runs on page load; a notice at the foot of the page says so and links here. I do not ask you to opt in and I store no choice about it. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing on it that needs your consent.
AI-generated content
Content on this site is drafted using artificial intelligence (Claude, made by Anthropic) and read by a person before it is published. Every page is generated ahead of time and served as a static page, so browsing the site sends nothing about you to an AI service.
There is no request-time generation on this site: no prompt ever carries your data. The AI disclosure in the terms applies to all content on this site.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, marked as described on the disclosure page. When you make a purchase through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies to track the referral once you are on their site. I receive no personal information about you from them: not your name, not what you bought, only that a purchase was credited.
Cookies
The site sets no advertising cookies, and I store no consent choice on your device. Google Analytics may set a cookie if your browser allows it and you are outside the regions named above. You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Children
Show Them Once is written for adults, parents planning what to do with a kid, not for children directly. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and the site publishes no photographs of children.
California residents (CCPA)
I do not sell or share personal information. Because I hold no personal data about visitors, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete.
Your rights (GDPR and other privacy laws)
I hold no personal data about visitors, so there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed me and would like that correspondence removed, say so and it will be deleted.
For data collected by Google through Analytics, use Google’s own tools:
Hosting
This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request logs under its own privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
